About Leadership Positions

Senior Patrol Leader

The Senior Patrol Leader is the top youth leader in the troop, elected by all Scouts. The SPL works with the Scoutmaster to plan troop meetings and activities, leads the Patrol Leaders' Council, and represents the troop at district and council events.

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader helps the SPL run the troop and takes over when the SPL is absent. ASPLs often coordinate specific programs or events.

Patrol Leader

Each patrol elects a Patrol Leader who is responsible for leading the patrol at meetings and on campouts. The Patrol Leader attends Patrol Leaders' Council meetings and represents the patrol's interests.

Scribe

The Scribe keeps records of troop meetings, attendance, and advancement. The Scribe works closely with the adult leadership to maintain accurate records.

Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is responsible for troop equipment, ensuring it's properly stored, maintained, and available for use. They also keep inventory of all troop gear.

Chaplain's Aide

The Chaplain's Aide assists with religious services at campouts and other troop activities, and encourages troop members in their spiritual development.

Historian

The Historian collects and preserves troop photographs, news stories, and memorabilia. They create presentations and displays about troop history.

Troop Guide

Troop Guides work with new Scouts, helping them learn Scout skills and become comfortable in the troop. They serve as mentors and role models for younger members.

Webmaster

The Webmaster maintains the troop's online presence, updating the website and coordinating social media communications with adult supervision.
